The Income Tax (Approved Banks) (Consolidation) (Amendment No. 4) Order 2012 which was published on 27 August 2012 is deemed to have come into operation on 1 July 2012.

The Income Tax (Approved Banks)(Consolidation) Order (O 32) is amended by deleting the words ‘‘WestLB AG’’ in item (72) and substituting the words ‘‘Portigon AG Singapore Branch’’.

The Income Tax (Approved Banks)(No. 3) Order 2012 which was published on 27 August 2012, shall be deemed to have come into operation on 23 July 2012.

In this Order, E.Sun Commercial Bank, Ltd is hereby approved as an ‘‘approved bank’’ for the purposes of section 13(1)(t) of the Income Tax Act.

The Income Tax (Approved Banks) (Consolidation) Order (O 32) which was published on 9 July 2012 and takes effect on 1 April 2012, is amended by deleting the words, ‘‘Sumitomo Trust And Banking Company Limited’’ in item (32) and substituting the words ‘‘Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited Singapore Branch’’.

The Income Tax (Approved Banks) (Consolidation) (Amendment No. 2) Order 2012 has been published on 18 June 2012. It amends the Income Tax (Approved Banks) (Consolidation) Order (O 32):

(a) by deleting, ‘‘Dexia BIL Asia Singapore Limited’’ in item (37), and substituting it with ‘‘BIL Asia Singapore Limited’’, and

(b) by deleting, ‘‘Dexia  Banque Internationale A Luxembourg SA’’ in item (66), and substituting it with ‘‘Banque Internationale A Luxembourg Singapore Branch’’.

The effective dates are as follows:

• Paragraph (a) on 2 April 2012
• Paragraph (b) on 22 March 2012.
