Eligible Singaporeans will be receiving notification letters on their 2016 GST Voucher and Medisave Top-ups by 1 July 2016.

As announced in Budget 2016, in addition to the amounts of $300 in GSTV – Cash, a one-off GSTV-Cash Special Payment of up to $200 will be given to eligible individuals. Payments will be disbursed in August and November 2016 to around 1.3m individuals.

In August 2016, around 400,000 Singaporeans aged 65 years and above will be expected to receive their GSTV – Medisave of up to $450. Additionally citizens born on or before 31 December 1959 and are not already receiving Pioneer Generation (PG) benefits will be given a Medisave top-up of up to $200 each year till 2018.

PG Medisave top-ups of $200 to $800 will be made in July 2016.

The Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) is encouraging citizens to sign up for SMS GSTV notifcations. More details can be found on the IRAS website.
