IRAS issues revised examples on its website on when expenditures are considered incurred

11 August 2015

The consideration of an incurrence of an expense happens when the legal liability to pay has arisen. It is regardless of the date of actual payment of the money.

Based on common scenarios and queries that IRAS has come across, in particular with claims for PIC, IRAS has drawn up various examples on when an expenditure is to be considered as incurred.

The revision was made on 29 July 2015.
