Auto-Inclusion Scheme (AIS) to be extended to another 100,000 taxpayers by 2015

23 April 2013

From 2015, another 100,000 taxpayers are expected to benefit from the Auto-Inclusion Scheme (AIS) when IRAS extends the AIS to employers with 12 or more employees (from the current 15 or more employees).

Under the AIS, taxpayers will not need to submit their salary information when they file their returns next year as their employment and income information will already been pre-filled in their tax returns.

This year, 1.3 million taxpayers enjoyed a simplified filing experience as their employers were part of the AIS.
