Singapore Customs: Advance Export Declaration (AED) implementation details are available

Following the implementation of Advance Export Declaration (AED) from 1 April 2013, the Singapore Customs has since published the AED implementation details and FAQs on its website. The Singapore Customs has also informed traders by way of the Notice No. 07/2012.

The Advance Export Declaration (AED) will be implemented for all exports from 1 April 2013 where declarations for all exports are to be submitted prior to export. The administrative exemption (IE Notice No. 2/76) that allows for declarations of non-controlled goods and non-dutiable goods by air and sea, to be submitted within three days of export, will be rescinded with effect from 1 April 2013.
